Heart Rhythm Meditation
Heart Rhythm Meditations sessions to help people connect with their hearts more with benefits to our health, relationships and accomplishments
Heart Rhythm Meditation involves conscious rhythmic breathing and a concentration on the heart (both the physical and emotional aspects of the heart) that coordinates the nervous, respiratory and circulatory systems, literally uniting the heart, mind and body to influence our mental, emotional and physical states. This meditation approach enables people to connect with their hearts and their heart qualities more to benefit their health, relationships and accomplishments.
The Method of Heart Rhythm Meditation
The method of Heart Rhythm Meditation involves conscious breathing, use of the full lung capacity, a concentration on the heart (both the physical heart and the emotional heart) and an intervention in the breath to make it rhythmic, through the coordination of the breath and heartbeat. This synchronises breath and heartbeat, creating “entrainment,” a coherent pattern of Heart Rate Variability to help reduce the impact stress can have on the nervous system.
Heart Rhythm meditation provides your heart with attention and energy, sending breath into your heart. Balancing the times for inhalation and exhalation brings a balance to your emotions, which are energy-in-motion. Deepening your breath increases your emotional capacity and lets you ride the rising and falling waves of energy. In rhythm with the hearts of others, you can develop a closer connection with family, friends, co-workers, and those you newly meet.

We run on-line Heart Rhythm Meditation sessions for people who’d like to try heart-focused meditation and who want to join a regular drop-in on-line session to meditate with other people. Our sessions run for 50 minutes and are hosted by a qualified teacher. Participants will be guided through proven practices that touch and open the heart, as well as providing a range of wellbeing benefits.
Meditation is become increasingly popular with lots of types of meditation for people to try. We practice Heart Rhythm Meditation – it is a practical life-centred meditation which helps us take on the emotional and physical challenges everyday life can throw at us.
These sessions focus on simple steps that have a profound effect on our bodies, hearts, and minds. We help people to learn how to use the power of our hearts to alleviate stress, self regulate our bodies and emotions and bring more balance, rhythm and meaning to our lives.

Breath and Heart
Breath and heart are absolutely essential for life, but are so easily taken for granted. We can become so consumed with the realities of life that we rarely take a moment to notice and appreciate these fundamental rhythms that keep us alive. The pressures of daily life, our fears, anxieties, and stressors command our attention, leaving little room to notice these subtleties. In these sessions we’ll help you:
- manage stress and anxiety levels
- feel more balanced and energised
- deepen the connections with what’s important to us
- access our heart qualities
